Energy surplus

Our PV system exceeds our consumption in March

31.03.24

Last March, our own photovoltaic system put in an impressive performance by generating more energy than we consumed. With a total consumption of 37.1 MWh and a generated energy from the PV system of 46 MWh, we were able to achieve a surplus of renewable energy. This marks significant progress on our path towards a sustainable energy supply.

This achievement is particularly pleasing when you consider that the cold season typically leads to increased energy consumption. Our main consumers during this time are the heating system with pumps, office ventilation and lighting in the workshop and warehouse.

The expansion of our PV system on the roof last year was a targeted investment to take advantage of the opportunity to generate as much electricity as possible ourselves and save costs as a result. This step is now paying off, as we can not only cover our own energy needs, but also generate a surplus that can be fed into the public grid, for example.

At G. Klampfer, we are proud to make our contribution to sustainable energy production and will continue to strive to reduce our environmental impact while acting economically.
