Wels - SPAR Österreichische Warenhandels-AG is continuing its commitment to a sustainable and environmentally friendly future. The company is proud to announce the successful installation of a pioneering photovoltaic system by G. KLAMPFER Elektroanlagen GmbH at the central warehouse in Wels in June 2023. This significant measure underlines the joint endeavour of both companies to shape a sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
The installed PV system is characterised by impressive data: With a rated output of 903.64 kWp and an occupied area of around 7,000 square metres, it makes a significant contribution to the generation of clean energy. The project involved the installation of around 2,203 modules with an output of 410 watts per module and seven Fronius inverters with a total output of 99 kilowatts. In addition, around 14 kilometres of solar cable were laid to ensure efficient energy transmission.
G. KLAMPFER's project manager was Mr Markus Hinterleitner, who was involved in the successful implementation together with Mr Bernhard Thallinger from SPAR Austria. The co-operation between the two companies resulted in a smooth and efficient installation of the PV system.
The positive impact of the PV system on the environment is undeniable. By generating clean energy, significant amounts of CO2 emissions are avoided each year, making an important contribution to combating climate change. This sustainable investment emphasises the commitment of SPAR and G. KLAMPFER to environmental protection and a green future.
Mr Jakob Leitner, Managing Director of the SPAR headquarters in Marchtrenk, commented on this pioneering investment: "The central warehouse in Wels has been an essential logistics centre for SPAR for 25 years, which is constantly being further developed and has a level of innovation that is unique in Austria. The new photovoltaic system on the roof now makes the modernity of this logistics centre at the SPAR headquarters in Marchtrenk visible from the outside and is a further example of our efforts towards sustainable and environmentally conscious corporate management. Because at SPAR, we are aware of our responsibility to actively contribute to climate protection and promote renewable energies."
The successful installation of the PV system at the SPAR central warehouse in Wels is a milestone in the co-operation between G. KLAMPFER and SPAR and underlines their joint commitment to promoting renewable energies. Both companies will continue to work closely together in the future to develop further sustainable solutions and drive forward the energy transition.
