We recently welcomed two guests from METRO Germany to our premises in Leonding: Mr Holger Guss (Head of Building Services) and Mr Olaf Schulze (Vice President Energy Management) accepted our invitation to visit G. Klampfer for two days in order to further strengthen our long-standing partnership and jointly set new impulses for the future.
On Tuesday evening, our guests met with Christian Mayer (Managing Director/CEO), Jürgen Busch (Head of Building Automation/Project Management) and Stefan Pilgerstorfer (Head of HVAC) for dinner in the centre of Linz. In a relaxed atmosphere, the first key topics for the upcoming exchange were defined - particularly in the areas of energy efficiency, innovative building technology and international standardisation. The evening not only offered culinary delights, but also an excellent opportunity to reflect on existing collaborations and develop new approaches.
On Wednesday, the programme continued with a visit to our company headquarters. The focus was on current and future challenges in the international retail and energy management sector - topics that have moved Klampfer and METRO together for decades. During a tour of the plant, our guests were able to get a first-hand impression of the production processes, technical solutions and current METRO projects. Particularly exciting: the live presentation of customised switchgear and systems that are developed specifically for METRO locations. In addition to concrete technical insights, strategic questions were also discussed - for example on topics such as the standardisation of processes, sustainable building technology and future digitalisation approaches. The productive atmosphere encouraged an open exchange of ideas and showed once again that partnership is the basis for innovation.
