Since last year, the #teampurple mission trips have been inspiring our employees and giving us the opportunity to experience our #lila mission statement and the values anchored in it in a new way. By the end of this year, all teams had completed their trips, and each trip brought fresh impetus and creative thinking to our construction sites. The positive response and the enthusiasm of the employees for this project have encouraged us to continue the concept in a new version.
Our goal: experiencing and sharing values
The special thing about these mission trips was their genuine ‘travelling character’ - each team chose construction sites in Germany or abroad and visited our colleagues in the field. These visits not only gave the teams new perspectives, but also strengthened the team spirit on the construction sites. The selected values, which were the focus of each trip, were not only discussed in theory, but also implemented creatively and practically. For example, the journey on the value of ‘quality’ involved identifying a special quality feature that is typical of the respective construction site. These ideas were then published in a team contribution to make the value tangible for the entire #teampurple.

Each trip ended with a small but symbolic ceremony: Together with the construction site team, a mission statement board was hung in the container - a sign of experiencing and working together in line with our values.
An idea with a future
The response to the mission trips was consistently positive. Employees from all departments praised the idea and the valuable dialogue with their colleagues in the field. The creative component and the personal interaction were seen as particularly enriching. On this basis, we are planning to continue the mission statement trips - in a new version that is just as inspiring and unifying.
