TCG UNITECH INVESTS FOR LONG-TERM GROWTH
A completely new plant (Plant 4) of TCG Unitech was built on a 500,000m2 site in Rohr im Kremstal (Upper Austria), with the company headquarters in Kirchdorf an der Krems, about 30km away.
In plant 4, aluminium castings are produced for the automotive industry. The raw material aluminium is delivered in bars and immediately processed in the smelter. The liquid aluminium is then transported to the die-casting hall and fed to one of currently 4 die-casting machines (E-connection approx. 0.5MW).
The finished die-cast parts are then taken via an intermediate storage facility to the MEBA (Mechanical Machining) department, where they are machined to micro millimetre precision using CNC machining equipment. The finished parts are packed in the distribution warehouse and delivered to the clients.
G. Klampfer Elektroanlagen GmbH was commissioned with the entire electrical installation and machine connections for this project.
The construction time for the entire new plant was only 16 months. During this time, G. Klampfer Elektroanlagen GmbH was on site with a construction management and planning team as well as up to 45 assembly personnel.
