The largest project in the company's history.

The time has come: The largest contract in the company's history has now been successfully completed and handed over at the beginning of September 2021. In the 34 months of construction, a new 5-storey building was built as an energy-efficient house with reduced primary energy consumption and low transmission heat loss.

This new hospital building has a capacity of 370 beds, expandable up to 410 beds. Due to the short-notice receipt of the order and the immediate start required, the G. Klampfer team carried out the planning from 01/2019 to 02/2020 almost parallel to the construction.

GIGANTIC SERVICES SPREAD OVER 16,800 M2

The building is supplied with power by three transformers of 1250 kVA each. Furthermore, in the event of a power failure, the relevant systems could be maintained via the installed emergency power system with 1250 kVA and a 10,000 l tank. The hospital is heated by a gas-fired combined heat and power unit (CHP) with 350 kW and two additional gas boilers of 700 kW each, which can also be operated with oil in an emergency.

The heat is emitted via various systems. For example, the building has thermoactive ceilings, wall heating, cooling ceilings, radiators and, in selected areas, underfloor heating. In terms of ventilation, the property is equipped with ventilation systems on the roof and in the building. These systems supply the general areas as well as special areas such as operating theatres.

On a floor space of around 16,800 m², the TGA team from G. Klampfer installed, among other things, 169 distributors, each of which usually has several fields. These distributors in turn supply approx. 8,500 sockets and 4,700 luminaires with cables smaller than 16 m². Such masses of material have also been accumulated in the building services with more than 44,000 m of stainless steel pipes, 535 radiators, 190 washbasins, 107 toilets or 1,700 ball valves.

Patients have access to standard double rooms with private bathrooms, toilets, TVs and WLAN, as well as the elective ward with over 16 single rooms and 6 double rooms with special equipment.

The doctors and nursing staff work in seven state-of-the-art operating theatres. One of these is exclusively for outpatient operations, two others for minimally invasive surgery and one specifically for BG cases (Berufsgenossenschaft). There is an emergency room with nine examination and treatment rooms and three more rooms for the care of infectious or agitated patients. There is also a diagnostic department with CT, MRI and X-ray, as well as urological, endoscopic and cardiological intervention areas. The hospital also has an intensive care unit and an IMC ward with 24 high-care beds. These can be extended by two rooms. To be prepared for the little babies, there are three fully equipped delivery rooms with the latest comforts as well as their own dining and lounge area. A highlight is also the helipad for disaster control, rescue and other medical transport flights.

There is also a bistro/café in the entrance area with a spacious terrace for visitors and patients.
