Several separate data centres are being built at the Vienna Campus on an area of around 29,000m², with Building A - also constructed by G. Klampfer - in operation since 2015.

Unlike its predecessor, the new Building B is tailored to the needs of a single special user. Therefore, e-shelter's already first-class quality standards have been raised even further to meet even the very highest demands for data centre availability, security and longevity.

These include measures for earthquake protection of the highest class, which are also used in Japan and California, among others.

HIGH-AVAILABILITY DATA CENTRE FOR (HYBRID) CLOUD APPLICATIONS

The extremely ambitious schedule of a few months from the award of the contract, which was defined as a central project requirement, put the performance of all project participants to the test.

The joint venture formed by Klampfer and the Viennese company Czernohorsky overcame these hurdles with extensive personnel deployment, which at its peak amounted to over 70 people and, measured against the size of the building and the special occupational health and safety regulations according to American standards, necessitated comprehensive organisation.
